Diarise itCaravan Kings CrossGreat for a catch up with the girls/Brunch with the BF/ Brunch with the mother Eating without the dent £

So the BF and I diarised Caravan Kings Cross last weekend for Saturday Brunch.  It was on our list of restaurants we have not been to, so along we pottered.

When you walk into Caravan Kings Cross you enter a huge New York looking warehouse, the restaurant has a lovely mix of the young ‘cool’ crowd, ladies having brunch, friends catching up and it has a fab atmosphere.

The restaurant does not take brunch bookings and when we went at 1.15ish we were informed it would be a 40 minute wait, major sobs.  We were handed flour bag number 516 and patiently waited.

I had heard the coffee is really good so whilst we waited we had a Cappuccino (me) and a flat white (BF). The cappuccino was really good and had a kick.

Luckily we only ended up waiting for 15 minutes.  The menu at Caravan is very extensive and there is plenty of choice.  I normally try to check out the restaurant menu before going to a restaurant as I take great pleasure in deciding what I want to eat and do not want to feel rushed into a decision.

I choose to have the poached eggs, aubergine puree, yoghurt, sumac, parsley, toast with soutsouki sausage £8.50.  I washed this done with a peach bellini which was really divine.

The BF choose to have Parmesan grits, girolles, boar sausage £9

As you can see from the photo below we clearly really loved the food at Caravan.  Every single morsel of food was devoured……opps.

THE BILL- So the bill came to a grand total of £41.85.  Overall I thought this was pretty reasonable as the portion sizes were good and the food was excellent.
