Here is part two of my recent holiday adventure in Morocco.  For part one click here. So after the Trekking in the Atlas Mountains our next stop was in Essaouira, which is an old port in Morocco. Essaouira wasn’t really for me.  I found it too small with not a lot to do, it lacked that special something to keep a London girl like me happy. However if you do end up stumbling on this Moroccan city here are some recommended highlights.

Where to stay

We stayed at a beautiful Riad Chabante. The Riad was to die for and had beautiful red and white roses everywhere. The breakfast here was amazing, wonderful French pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt and lovely warm bread.

Places to eat

Elizir– This was recommended by the concierge in our Riad as one of the places to eat in  Essaouira. The room is very 60s and the food was fabulous.

Taros- this is a great rooftop bar to go for a cocktail or share a bottle of wine.

How to get there from Marrakech

Essaouira has no train station so your options are either a Supratours bus or taking a taxi.  From Marrakech we took the bus Supra tours for 70mad each. The journey time is about 2 1/2 hours.

Have a fab day all.  The weekend is getting closer, whoooo!
